A Dutch man has been remanded in custody after a court ruled his detention is legal.
He was arrested earlier this month in a luxury apartment with links to the Kinahan crime gang.
Naoufal Fassih, a Dutch man of Morrocan origin - has appeared in the district court, the High Court and the extradition court today.
The 35 year old was picked up earlier this month when gardai raided an apartment on Baggot Street with links to the Kinahan cartel.
He was said to be wearing a watch worth over 40 grand and runners worth 800 euro at the time. Around 12 grand in cash and two Rolex watches were also found in the apartment.
Naoufal Fassih applied for bail again in the district court this morning but that was refused. He was also in the High Court where a judge decided his detention IS lawful despite previous arguments from his barrister that it wasn’t.
He then went to the extradition court where that court heard authorities in the Netherlands want him there to face charges on assault, money laundering and possession false documents.
He’s been remanded in custody and is due in court again next month.
