The social-media giant LinkedIn has announced plans to hire 800 new staff in Dublin.
It will bring the company's workforce here to 2,000.
The company has said that the recruitment process for the new positions has already begun, with over 100 roles open today in areas such as sales, marketing, customer service, finance and analytics.
LinkedIn says it has already expanded it's workforce from 1,200 people to 1,500 people since the last recruitment drive, and the balance of positions to be filled by summer next year.
Deal Done For New Office Space
Last year the company announced it had done a deal for a new 150,000 sq ft development at One Wilton Park that will allow for even further potential growth.
Dublin city's new Lord Mayor has welcomed the news.
Paul McAuliffe said the announcement will put pressure on the government to sort out the housing and transport issues in the capital.
He said "In order for Dublin to be a great city to invest in, it has to be a great city to live in."
"We have to solve our housing crisis and we have to solve our transport crisis in order to continue to attract the quality investment which LinkedIn is bringing to Dublin" he added.
