Irish artists are calling on politicians across Europe to amend EU copyright laws.

On Wednesday the European Parliament will vote on digital copyright reform and decide whether online platforms such as YouTube should be liable for sharing creative content.

Singer Imelda May and chair of the Irish Music Rights Organisation Eleanor McEvoy are demanding a change to the existing laws.

Meanwhile supporters of the current laws, such as Wyclef Jean, say changes would destroy free speech.
