Over half a million Irish people have donated to the Ice Bucket Challenge - making it the most popular social media craze this year.
Figures from LIKECHARITY show it has surpassed the No Make Up Selfie which saw just over half a million people donate a million euro for cancer research in March.
Donations for the Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association saw a huge spike two weekends ago - with just over 200 thousand euro being donated on Sunday the 24th of August alone.
