Activists have taken over a vacant house in Summerhill in protest against government inaction on the homeless crisis.
Around 150 demonstrators marched from the spire last night to Summerhill Parade, and a group of ten people wearing Leo Varadkar masks have peacefully occupied the building overnight.

One of the protestors has told 98FM News they're angry at rent hikesm, evictions and poor housing conditions.
"So essentially we decided to take matters into our own hands. We went into the house yesterday. It's not in great condition and we had a plan that we'd move in and do it up. We want the council to compulsary (sic) purchase the house and give it back to the local community."
