As the blame game continues over the cancelled Garth Brooks concerts, charities are across the city are also losing out.
Five charities around the city had been given permits to hold collections outside Croke Park during the gigs.
Kevin Delaney from Don Bosco Care says it’s a massive blow for them:
"We were really excited. We're a small charity based in Dublin and it was a big opportunity for us to raise significant funds. We have our staff and volunteers making arrangements to get organised and collect on the day. We were hoping to raise two or three thousand Euro at least and that's been taken away."
Plan Ireland had a permit to collect on the Sunday night and Mike Mansfield from the organisation says the cancellation is hugely disappointing:
"We get huge support from a band of volunteers who we pull together. The Irish people are hugely generous, we're fully aware of that, and this Garth Brooks gig was a huge opportunity for us and unfortunately it's gone by the wayside."
Meanwhile, Ticketmaster say they’ll start the operation to refund the 400 thousand fans next Tuesday.
