A woman has been killed in a stabbing in the city centre.
It happened in the early hours of this morning at an apartment on Bonham Street in Dublin 8.
The woman, in her 30s, was taken to St James' Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Gardaí have arrested a man aged in his 30's and he is being held at Kevin Street Garda station.
The scene remains sealed off and a number of diversions are in place.
Investigations are continuing.
