Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man was struck by a car in Lucan, on Monday morning.

At around 7.35am, on the Lucan Road, a man left a black Opel Astra, and stood on the bonnet of a second vehicle, behind him - kicking the windscreen.

No injuries were reported, but damage was caused.

Another incident happened a few minutes later - at approximately 7.38am - again involving a black Opel Astra.

Two cars stopped at traffic lights, on Weir Bridge in the village.

The driver from one left his car, to interact with the black Opel Astra.

The man - in his forties - was struck by the Astra driver.

He is currently being treated for non-life threatening injuries at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, with particular interest in dashcam footage.

The black Opel Astra is believed to have had black wheels, with silver chrome on the boot.
