Ireland's first female Bishop will be consecrated at a service in Dublin this afternoon.

The Reverend Pat Storey has been a rector in Derry since 2004, and was appointed to the post of Bishop of Meath and Kildare in September.

The married mother of two is said to be 'excited and daunted' by the new role.

The service will take place at 3pm at Christchurch Cathedral.
