Fire crews at Rathfarnham Fire Station were forced into action to deliver a baby last night.
A woman in labour could only drive as far as her local fire station at around 9 o'clock.
The team set up a makeshift maternity ward for her, and a short time later a baby girl was delivered.
Both were later transferred to the Rotunda Hospital in the city centre.
Mum and baby are doing well this morning!
The Baby's not waiting: Our Rathfarnam crew delivered a baby in the back of mums car, which pulled in to the forecourt of the station at 9pm
