Michael D Higgins is set to easily be re-elected as President of Ireland.
An Irish Times exit poll, conducted by Ipsos MRBI, has projected Mr Higgins will win 55.6% of first preference votes.
A separate RTÉ / Red C poll suggests Mr Higgins will win 58% of the vote.
Both polls put Peter Casey on second place with 21% of the vote.

Meanwhile, both polls also suggest a comfortable 'Yes' vote in the blasphemy referendum - with the RTÉ poll putting the vote at 71% Yes, and a slightly lower 68.9% in the Irish Times poll.
The official count gets underway at 9am tomorrow morning.
