Exclusion zones are to be introduced around hospitals or GP practises to prevent abortion protests.
According to the Irish Times the government has committed to the move but it's not known whether there'll be legislation to enforce it.
It follows the picketing of the Rotunda, Coombe and Holles Street Hospitals by a group displaying graphic 7 foot tall posters of embryos and foetuses.
The Rotunda has been tweeting during the demonstrations to warn women attending the hospital about the images.
Health Minister Simon Harris has previously condemned the actions by an anti choice group.
