A woman has died and a man is in a serious condition in hospital after a two car collision in Enfield.
The 25 year old woman was a passenger in one of the cars involved in the crash at Blackwater Bridge at about 9pm last night.
A man in his 20's - the driver of the car - is receiving treatment at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown for serious injuries.
While the driver of the second car a woman in her 30's was taken to the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar for non life threatening injuries.
The road remains closed this morning to allow for a forensic examination of the scene.
Gardaí are asking drivers to avoid the old N4.
