Fire crews have tackled an apartment fire in Tallaght believed to be caused by a faulty electric blanket.
Eight people were taken from the building on Main Street the emergency overnight.
Dublin Fire Brigade says there was heavy smoke and minor burns but everyone's safe and well.
Separately fire fighters have dealt with a blaze in an apartment block on Grattan Street, off Mount Street in the city centre.
It's been brought under control and two people were treated at the scene without having to go to hospital.
