Graham Dwyer’s lawyers have finished presenting their evidence in the Foxrock architect’s murder trial.
The 42-year-old father of three is accused of killing Elaine O’Hara in August 2012 to satisfy his sexual desire to stab a woman to death.
The defence called the first of its three witnesses just after 12 this afternoon and brought its evidence to a close less than half an hour later.
Mary Crosbie said she saw a woman crying near some graves at Shanganagh Cemetery at around 5pm on Aug 22 2012.
She described her as a “biggish girl” who was very casually dressed and had mousey coloured hair.
The trial previously heard Elaine O’Hara visited her own mother’s grave at the same cemetery earlier that day and the last reported sighting of her alive was at a nearby railway footbridge just before 6pm.
Two farmers were also called to give evidence this afternoon.
Gardai asked them if they aware of any dead sheep on their lands beside Roundwood and Shankill Flying Clubs in April 2011 but they both said they weren’t.
Closing speeches will begin tomorrow and the jury is due to be sent away to consider a verdict early next week.
