Dublin fans will get a chance to celebrate their fourth All Ireland in a row this evening.

Lord Mayor Nial Ring and Dublin City Council are hosting a special event at Smithfield Plaza.

Thousands of fans watched on in excitement yesterday as the Boys in Blue clinched four titles in a row - beating Tyrone in a nail-biting All Ireland Senior Football Final.

The team, the backroom staff, Dublin County Board and 'True Blue' fans will have a chance to celebrate with a special event at Smithfield in the north inner city at 6.30 this evening.

Dublin's Lord Mayor Neil Ring says it's a terrific achievement:

"It's beyond our wildest dreams that Dublin have done four in a row and obviously last night we had a terrific night celebrating around Croke Park. This evening we're inviting all the Dublin fans up to Smithfield to see the players and the cup and prepare ourselves for hopefully another great year."

Access to the Smithfield Plaza is from North King Street, Friary Avenue and Thundercut Alley.

Those attending are asked to follow the event signage and stewards' instructions.

Dublin City Council's also asking people to use public transport where possible, when travelling to and from the event, which is family friendly and alcohol free.
