The annual switching on of the Christmas lights in the city officially marks the start of the festive season.
Dublin Town has revealed that Dublin's Christmas lights will be turned on at some stage this week.
However, there isn't going to be a ceremony this year. The organisation also hasn't revealed a specific date and time.
On Twitter, Dublin Town revealed:
"There's no set date or event, they'll just come on. So when wandering around Dublin Town you might be lucky enough to be standing under them when they switch on for the 1st time this year!"

Dublin's Christmas lights are made up of over a million light bulbs.
Five kilometers of lights across 30 streets are set to be switched on all at once.
The lights will brighten up the city until early January.
