Dublin universities have fallen in the latest world rankings.
The QS World University Rankings see institutions graded on a range of factors - such as staff to student ratios, academic reputation and employer reputation.
Trinity College, which was formerly Ireland's only top 100 university, has now fallen to 104th place.
Its current position compares to a ranking of 61 in 2014.
UCD fell nearly 30 places to 193, DCU is down to 422, while DIT has also tumbled.
The only Irish universities to avoid a fall were Maynooth and the University of Limerick, but neither of them make it into the top 500.
Academics are blaming the poor performance on a lack of investment in higher education.
