Dublin Man In Court Accused Of Putting His Fist Through A Monet

The jury has been sent home for the night in the trial of a Dublin man accused of putting his fist through a Claude Monet painting at the National Gallery.

48 year old Andrew Shannon of Willans Way, Ongar claims his serious heart condition caused him to feel faint and “collapse” against the painting on June 29th, 2012.

He denies causing criminal damage to the painting which is valued at 10 million euro.
