Dublin Fire Brigade has been dealing with a major gorse fire in Howth today. They were called to the scene in the early hours of this morning. Fire services from Kilbarack and North Strand stations attended the scene.
This afternoon two pumps and a water tanker are still on the scene keeping it under control, as the situation could be altered by a change in wind direction.
Dublin Fire Brigade have posted photos and videos of the fire on their Twitter page and say they have checked in with people living close to the fire to make sure they are safe.
They're warning that more fires of this type can be expected with the current dry weather.
