Concern has been raised that the public consultation on the redesign of the Dublin Bus network won't capture the information it needs.

From today, public transport users in the capital are being asked for their opinion on plans to overhaul the look, layout and frequency of bus routes.

Dublin City Councillor Noeleen Reilly, who completed the survey this morning, feels it's too short.

"It is not capturing the actual needs of users which may differ from the plans", she said.

Councillor Reilly also fears that "people may not engage in the process as they will be unclear on what is actually proposed".

She also said "The maps provided are not clear and it is very difficult to see what actual changes are proposed".

The Public Consultation is now open, and Dublin citizens are being asked to fill out the survey by clicking this link.
