Drugs Worth Over €2.2 Million Seized In Dublin And Wexford

Revenue has confirmed that drugs worth over $2.2 million have been seized at Dublin Airport and Rosslare Europort.

A man in his 20s has been remanded in custody, and will appear before the court on October 25th.

He arrived in Dublin on a flight from Dubai last Saturday and is charged with importing heroin worth €1.8 million.

In a separate operation, a UK registered SUV was stopped and searched as it arrived in Rosslare from Cherbourg.

Cannabis resin worth an estimated street value of €403,000 was seized, and a man in his 40s was arrested.

Investigations are ongoing.
