Red C interviewed a random sample of one thousand and five adults for this poll, of which - 46 per cent stated they have "some reservations" about allowing same-sex couples to marry.
It found that the number of certain YES voters is on 44 per cent
And although the poll does find a large majority of 77 per cent support same-sex marriage, much of that support appears to be soft - and could potentially be lost in the run up to polling day.
59 per cent of those asked say they agree strongly that they will vote YES to change the Constitution, with 18 per cent only agreeing tentatively.
The same poll finds that 38 per cent of voters have reservations about adoption by same-sex couples.
