Talks on changes to DART timetables have broken down - before even starting.

Unions say they won't meet Irish Rail until the company agrees to discuss pay as well. Drivers aren't happy at plans to run trains up to every ten minutes from next month.

The move has been described by Iarnrod Eireann as regrettable. DART drivers have already been balloted for strike action in the event the company introduces the new timetable.

Pay claims have also been lodged at Bus Éireann and Dublin Bus.
