Cyclist Dies After Being Hit By A Luas In Dublin

A cyclist has been killed after being hit by a Luas tram in the city centre.

The incident took place at Charlemont on the Green Line at around 3 o'clock this morning.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to the City Morgue in Whitehall.

The Green Line was closed for a time but has since reopened.

A Garda investigation is now underway.

They're appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident and can assist the investigation to contact them at Pearse Street or any Garda Station.
