A cyclist has been rushed to hospital following a collision with a car.
The incident occurred yesterday evening on the Leopardstown Road in South Dublin.
At approximately 8.30pm, a 38 year old cyclist was involved in a collision with a car and was rushed to St Vincent's Hospital where he is said to be in a critical condition.
The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, was the sole occupant of the car and did not suffer any injuries.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or been in the area at the time to contact them.
