Around thirty people who've been squatting in Grangegorman have been thrown a lifeline.
They've been given 24 hours to get legal advice, before a case taken to move them on goes ahead.
The High Court is due to hear from a receiver who is trying to evict the group from a complex on Grangegorman Road Lower where they have been staying since August 2013.
Receivers have been appointed to the complex, which includes three houses, a warehouse and a yard.
There were tense scenes during attempts to remove the group from the property on Monday and there are reports that a number of protesters were injured.
The receivers hope to sell the site for in excess of 4 million euro.
Those living there say they will argue their case in court.
