Over 300,000 passengers are set to pass through Dublin Airport in advance of the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Holidaymaker's - set to arrive and depart - from the airport will be in for a festive treat with the ‘greening’ of prominent buildings including Terminals 1 and 2.

The St. Patrick's Festival celebrations started in style last night when, for the first time ever, the iconic Spire of Dublin was lit green.

Four days of events as part of the festival get underway today and Grand Marshal, Brendan O'Carroll pushed the button to light the Spire in collaboration with the UNESCO International Year of Light Ireland.
