Dublin City Council is said to be considering showing All-Ireland football final on a big screen in Smithfield.
Dublin's Drive for Five will reach a climax against Kerry on Sunday September 1.
Fans all over the city are waiting to see if they will get their hands on a coveted ticket for the match.
A big screen event could provide a festive atmosphere for those who miss out.
Independent Councillor Mannix Flynn told the Herald newspaper the screen wouldn't be just for Dubs fans.
He said he expects a lot of Kerry fans who can't get a ticket for Croke Park to be in the city for the game too.
Councillor Flynn has appealed to the Council to make a quick decision on the matter.
Lord Mayor's Wind- Up
Meanwhile, Dublin's Lord Mayor may not be very welcome in the Kingdom.
Paul McAuliffe sent a letter to Kerry's Mayor Niall Kelleher inviting him to stay in the Mansion House for the All- Ireland final.
However there were a number of "typos" in the letter.
Everywhere the letter "s" was meant to be; the number "5" appeared instead.
