Contingency Plans In Place Ahead Of ESB Strike

The Department of Energy says it has contingency plans in place if the ESB strike goes ahead.

Unions at ESB have served formal notice of strike action - and are set to strike after December 16th if no resolution is found.

Todays Irish Times reports that the Department of Energy is confident that disruption will be kept to a minimum.

Age Action Ireland is calling on the HSE to release details of its contingency plan in the event of power cuts.
