A US court has set bail of $50,000 for UFC star Conor McGregor.
The 29-year-old appeared at a courthouse in Brooklyn this evening facing charges of assault and criminal mischief over an incident at a UFC event last night.
Fellow Dublin fighter, 25-year-old Cian Cowley with an address at Hyde Park in Dalkey, has also been charged in relation to the violence.
His bail was set at $25,000.
McGregor was charged by US police after an alleged attack on a UFC bus yesterday.
Videos appearing to show the former two-weight champion throwing a trolley at the bus and shattering the vehicle’s window have been circulating online.
McGregor presented himself to police at around 2.30am Irish time last night.
Following this evening’s hearing, McGregor was told his passport will be returned as soon as he posts his bail bond.
He will then be allowed to board his jet and return to Ireland.
The next court date was set at June 14th 2018.
