A Clondalkin man found asleep on a pile of stolen cash with his partner in crime has avoided jail.
Luke Curry of Shancastle Avenue admitted robbing the Jobstown Pharmacy in Tallaght in February 2013.
The 25-year-old was caught a day later, when Gardai peered through the window of a nearby house, and saw him asleep on a sofa.
Gardaí went in to the house, and found €275 of the stolen cash in a pile under where they were lying and arrested both men.
Curry was too intoxicated to be interviewed but he later claimed he was in the pharmacy for "innocent" reasons.
The 25-year-old, who has 12 previous convictions including one for drug dealing, was handed a three-year suspended jail sentence and told to complete 240 hours community service.
