There has been a major clampdown on illegal casino operations in Dublin.

The Revenue issued enforcement letters to a number of premises which have not been compliant with regulations.

A number of casinos have 21 days to remove machines or face seizure.

Director of The Gaming and Leisure Association of Ireland David Hickson believes more information should be made available for the public:

"From a consumer protection point of view what you want is a list which gives details of those sites that are licensed by the Irish regulator and are considered safe and appropriate for Irish citizens to use."
