Residents in Ringsend want to stop camper vans parking overnight outside their homes.

Some have complained of an influx of tourists pulling up during the summer, bringing with them noise, rubbish and public urination.

There has been a significant increase in tourists over the summer months who have been directed there from an app which lets campervan enthusiasts know where they can park for free.

Local Councillor Mannix Flynn has written to Dublin City Council over the issue and says something needs to change:

"The situation is very clear Dublin City Council are aware of an issue within the city, they would be very much aware of this but have decided to turn a blind eye to it."

"Certainly residents are well aware of it and down in Ringsend in certain roads, they are chock-a-Block with them.

"People are kind of walking back out of there houses and there's people pretty much camped in their street and this is unacceptable."
