Efforts are being made to try and stop a vote in the Dáil later today on the sale of the State's minority share in Aer Lingus.
Fianna Fáil's putting forward a motion calling for the suspension of the debate and vote, until a confidential report prepared for the airline by NYRAS can be examined.
The report sets out a range of cost reductions including cuts to cabin crew and pilots.
However Aer Lingus says that the report was a cost-base comparison presentation and has no bearing on jobs.
The approval of the Dáil is legally required before the shares can be sold in a deal worth 335 million euro.
But Fianna Fail Spokesperson on Transport Timmy Dooley says they will not be giving their support to the deal:
