There are calls for an urgent examination of road safety in Lucan.
According to local Councillor William Lavelle, traffic lights at the Foxhunter slip road are bent out of shape having been hit by a car last week.
Councillor Lavelle says these traffic lights have been hit by vehicles five times over the past five years, marking this junction as one of Dublin's most frequent accident blackspots.
Councillor Lavelle added that it is in motorists, pedestrians and cyclists interests to improve the safety of problematic junctions.
