The Green Party is calling for extra Dublin Buses to be deployed for Luas customers who are seeing full trams pass them by.
It's been commuting hell for passengers on the Green Line since the cross city extension opened last December.
On top of an already stretched service, there are daily delays due to technical problems and chronic College Green congestion.
New longer carriages were being introduced on a phased basis to deal with the extra demand, but they've since been withdrawn due to battery problems.
Green TD Catherine Martin has told 98FM News she's asking the government to sanction extra Dublin Buses at rush hour for people unable to board at stations.
She says buses should be provided at the likes of Balally and Ranelagh where trams are consistently delayed or too full.
