There are new calls for a cold case review into the disappearance of a Dublin teenager in Spain 14 years ago.

Her aunt is making the plea today, on what would be Amy Fitzpatrick's 30th birthday.

The 15-year-old from Coolock vanished on the Costa Del Sol on New Year's Day in 2008.

She was living there with her mother, Audrey, and step-father, Dave Mahon. There has been no trace of her since then.

Amy's aunt, Christine Kenny, wants the Irish authorities to order a fresh investigation into the case;

"To let a cold case come and how we can actually get some light on what's going on. At the end of the day she is an Irish citizen and she's entitled to be fought for."

Over 5,400 people have signed an online petition calling for a cold case review.

A ceremony is being held at 5 o'clock this evening on Springdale Road in Edenmore to mark Amy's 30th birthday.
