RTE Broadcaster Bill O'Herlihy has died. The legendary sports presenter passed away at the age of 76.
He was best known for hosting every major sporting event for the state broadcaster but was most loved for chairing the soccer commentary alongside Eamon Dunphy and John Giles.
The Cork born pundit retired last summer following the 2014 World Cup having spent 49 years with RTE. He hosted ten World Cups and ten Olympic Games during his career.
He is survived by his wife, Hilary, daughters Jill and Sally and extended family.
We'll leave it there so.
