The heavy Garda presence at water protests has left some parts of Dublin lacking in cover and susceptible to break-ins.
That's according to one Fianna Fail counsellor who is saying that burglars are taking advantage of the demonstrations to raid cars and homes.
Fianna Fail councillor David McGuinness says there's been a huge spike in burglaries in West Dublin in recent times and is calling for more resources:
