In the latest twist in the Brexit saga, Boris Johnson has resigned as British Foreign Secretary.

A Downing Street spokesman said The Prime Minister "accepted the resignation of Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary", and thanked him for his work.

A replacement will be announced shortly.

Earlier, Theresa May picked Dominic Raab to be her new Brexit secretary.

It's after David Davis, the politician who had been in charge of managing Britain's exit from the EU, quit.

He was angry about new policies that would keep the British government close to the EU post Brexit, saying they'd conceded too much.

Tánaiste and Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney doesn't think the change of personel in the Brexit office will make a huge difference.

However, some are concerned the departures may lead to a challenge to Theresa May's leadership of the party.
