Bord Gáis Energy has announced its second price cut in four months.

The reduction will see a 10% drop in electricity charges, a 9.5% cut in gas, and an 8% decrease in standing charges

It will apply automatically to the provider's 600,000 residential customers nationwide, and amounts to an estimated saving of
€331 per year for dual fuel customers.

The changes will come into affect from the 29th of February.

In comes hot on the heels of Electric Ireland's announcement on Monday of electricity price cuts of 8% and gas of 7%, which take effect from March 1st.
