Bewley's Latest Coffee Chain To Introduce Compostable Cups

Bewley's has become the latest coffee chain to introduce compostable takeaway cups.

The company says the move is part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability, and Bewley’s Grafton Street will lead the way as the first location that the recyclable cups will be available in.

Earlier this month, Supervalu and Centra announced their takeaway cups would all be compostable by September.

Jason Doyle, Managing Director of Bewley’s Food Service Ireland, said "earlier this year we introduced the compostable coffee capsules, and to be able to follow it up with our new sustainable takeaway cups is something that we are really proud of."

He said he is "delighted" to be able to provide customers with "these new recyclable and compostable cups whenever they enjoy a Bewley’s coffee on the go".
