Tens of thousands of people are expected to pour onto Dollymount Strand for one of the most popular family weekends in the summer calendar.

The Battle For The Bay is a free watersports festival, which has been running for the past 12 years.

As kite surfers compete out on the water for the title of King or Queen of the Bay, there will be tutorials and entertainment for the thousands of spectators.

Last summer, around 65,000 people turned out across the weekend to enjoy freestyle demonstrations, and a beach market.

The market is back this year, selling everything from vintage clothes and vinyl records to arts & crafts. Foodies will find themselves in the Farmers Market Food Village, while the Kids Zone will keep younger ones happy with fairground rides.

The Battle For The Bay returns to Dollymount Strand on the 27th and 28th May.
