The Health Minister's announced a ban on special offers for sunbeds.
Leo Varadkar says from March 2nd, unlimited or free use of sunbeds will be banned, supervision will be needed and goggles will have to be worn.
Warning signs will have to be displayed as part of new measures to tackle skin and eye cancer.
Minister Varadkar says an outright ban on sunbeds wasn't considered:
The Irish Cancer Society is welcoming the new restrictions.
However, it says they’ll continue to lobby the Minister to ban them altogether.
