A Christian owned bakery in the North has been found guilty of discrimination for refusing to ice a cake with the words "support gay marriage".
The case was taken by an activist from the Equality Commission, Gareth Lee, who said the refusal made him feel 'inferior and unworthy'.
Ashers Baking Company said making the cake would have been "at odds with its beliefs".
However, a court in Belfast has found the bakery guilty of discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.
Ashers general manager, Daniel McArthur, spoke before the ruling:
"We did not do this because of anything to do with the customer, but because of the message. A message supporting a cause with which I and my family fundamentally disagree."
