A man is due in court in connection with an attempted armed raid on a shop in Clondalkin
At approximately 3 oclock yesterday afternoon, a man wearing a balaclava and brandishing a knife entered the shop at Castle Crescent.
He threatened staff and demanded money.
A fight then broke out between the raider and a members of staff and the worker's hand was injured.
Gardai arrived on the scene and arrested a 32 year old man.
He was taken to Clondalkin Garda Sation and charged in connection with the incident.
He's due to appear in court today.
The 57 year old staff member who was injured, was treated by a local doctor.
