A teenage girl had a plastic bag pulled over her head in a terrifying attack in Clonsilla on Monday.
According to the Herald, the girl believed to be 13 was out running at Manorfields Drive Road beside the Ravenwood estate when the unknown assailant struck in broad daylight.
She was approached from behind by the man who pulled a bag over her head.
A struggle took place and the girl managed to escape unharmed.
After the attack the girl notified her school.
Gardai were called to the scene but the attacked had fled.
The school sent out a message warning parents to be vigilant.
It's the third suspicious approach of a child in the Clonsilla area in the last two weeks.
