Gardai believe they’ve foiled a planned robbery in Artane.
Seven men were arrested after armed officers moved in and a gun has also been recovered.
This afternoon’s operation took place outside a shop on Rosemount Avenue in Artane at around 2.30.
Armed officers from the Garda Emergency Response Unit swopped in on a gang of men whom they suspect were about to carry out a robbery.
The suspects have been taken to various Garda stations across the city and at least one car has been taken away for tests.
Gardai say no shots were fired.
