The air search for missing Air Asia jet has been suspended for the night but some boats in the area plan to continue looking for any wreckage.
The jet - carrying a British national and 161 other people - disappeared en route from Indonesia to Singapore only 40 minutes into its journey.
Indonesian Transport Minister Ignatius Jonan has been updating reporters.
Meanwhile, Oliver Millman, from the Guardian newspaper, says a joint search and rescue operation -involving Indonesia and Singapore - is underway.
